Glavine amassed a lengthy,
successful reign with the Braves (which included two Cy Young awards,
five seasons of 20 or more wins,
and a World Series MVP), before heading to the
Mets in December 2002 via free agency. His 2006 season was his most successful with the Mets,
finishing the season with a 15-7 record and a 3.82 ERA. He
pitched 16 consecutive scoreless innings in the 2006 playoffs,
finishing with a 2-1 record and a 1.59 ERA. Glavine won his
300th career game as a member of the Mets on August 5, 2007 --
an 8-3 win over the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. In November 2007, Glavine became a free agent and returned to
the Atlanta Braves, signing a one-year deal with the team he

Tom
Glavine threw a bullpen session today at about 60% effort. He was able to throw
all of his pitches and had good control and feel for both his changeup and
curveball. The plan is for him to throw three bullpen sessions on the next road
trip and possibly a two-inning simulated game on the following homestand. He's
shooting for a mid-August return date. I've added an article about this to the

Glavine played catch from a distance of 130 feet Thursday with no problems. He

Glavine met with Braves orthopedist Dr. Xavier Duralde last night and was
cleared to begin light stretching and range-of-motion training on his elbow.
